The idea of this project is to look
into the depth of water, in a physical sense. The water level is constantly
changing for a number of different reasons, and for most, we as a whole are
mostly to blame for. But, most importantly, I want to look into the sea level and disappearing cities
and try to visually communicate this information in an interactive way for
audiences to understand.I will be creating an animated sequence which I would use to promote awareness of the alarming rate of which the water is rising. This will be placed on a website through the use of parallax scrolling. At the end of the website I will create a visualisation on what the future holds based on my research, and I want to look into and highlight what countries will be non existent if we continue living this way. The image below to the left is the brief that I have chosen to work towards and base my project on. I have underlined the main topics that I will be focusing the main part of the awareness on within the website.
The target audience of this project is primarily based towards young millennial's aged around 12-25. I feel like with the current industry not providing enough information on what effects we are having on the sea level rising, I am hoping to make a big impact. I am aiming this to people from a young age because they need to be aware of the world they are entering, as we are now in a crisis.
